- The NETA Level 3 examination has the same format as the Level 2 examination, with the question count, time limit and passing score stated in the datum value. Value: 100 closed-book proctored questions; two hours allowed; passing score 410.
- NETA Level 3 certification requires meeting the lower-level qualifications plus the cumulative safety training, electrical training and experience stated in the datum value. Value: 64 total hours of safety training; 400 total hours of electrical training; five years of experience.
- A NETA Level 3 technician supervises lower-level technicians, handles routine and moderately complex testing, keeps records and evaluates test data. Value: Supervises Level 1 and Level 2 technicians.
- NETA names Level 3 of its technician certification structure Certified Technician.
