Scope
These terms apply to automated access to the site, including crawlers, answer engines, software agents, the read interface under /api/ and the service at /mcp. Crawlers are welcome; the site's robots file names the crawlers it allows.
Attribution
Any use of content or data obtained from the site carries attribution to Electrical Testing Reference and, where practical, the address of the page or datum used. Each response from the data interface and the machine-readable service carries an attribution line for that purpose.
No bulk redistribution
Retrieval, quotation and citation of the site with attribution are welcome, including by automated answer services. Republication of the site's text or of the data interface output as a dataset is not permitted. Output of the data interface and the machine-readable service may not be redistributed in bulk or mirrored, and it may not be used to harvest contact details. Rate limits apply to every client, with a lower limit for clients without a key and a higher limit for keyed clients.
Standards and values
The standards cited by the site are not the site's property and are not licensed by these terms or by any output of the site. Facts served by the site are not a substitute for the standard that governs them; the standard governs. Material that the editorial policy withholds is never served by the data interface or the machine-readable service.
